A dozen or so BPS members met up yesterday at Warstone Cemetery, in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter. A most enjoyable morning, nicely topped off with coffee and cake at a local gallery. Also very easy to get to by train from Stourbridge Junction. Many thanks to David for organizing the trip, and to Den for finding the cake…
There’s nothing currently on the programme for this week, though that may change so watch this space (and the WhatsApp group). As things stand, our next scheduled event is the annual barbecue, at Avoncroft Arts Centre, on the evening of Tuesday August 12th. I’ll send out more info in next weekend’s email, but the way this works is that we will set up a couple of grills, and have access to the hall for tables and chairs (and toilets), but members are responsible for bringing (and cooking) their own food and drinks. Hopefully we will be blessed with fine weather.
Also coming up fairly soon on Tuesday August 19th is the annual Chinese meal in Evesham, which is being organized by Dave Ward. Please contact him if you are wanting more details or to book your slot.
You should all have received within the last few days an email from Tony Hawksbee with details of how to renew your membership for next year – I hope everyone is planning to join us again next season for another great year of photography, creativity, and friendship. The programme for 2025/26 is already up on the website if you want to see what we have planned.
That’s all I have for this week
Richard
