I really enjoyed Monica Doshi’s talk last Tuesday – great pictures and I really liked the stories behind them too. The photos really excelled at capturing the feelings of the moment, not just the subject. Made me want to book a few trips – though I’m not sure I’d want to go out in a sandstorm to get the shot. I hope everyone else enjoyed it as much as I did.
Coming up this week we have the long-awaited Boys vs Girls competition – a bit of healthy rivalry but lots of fun, and there should be some fantastic images on view. The judge will be Philip Cooling.
Before that we have an early session from David and Ele, covering some editing techniques in Photoshop and Affinity Photo, specifically “Creating Brushes, Removing Blemishes/Objects, Editing Questions and Answers”.
There will also be a raffle so bring some cash.
Did anyone else spot that weird weather phenomenon yesterday – the sky went a funny colour, almost blueish, and there was a weird fireball-like thing in the sky. There was also a weird black shape on the ground following me around everywhere. Very odd. I seem to remember it happening before, a long time ago though… Fortunately everything seems to be back to normal today.
