What a great start to the season on Tuesday with lots of new faces , all of whom were made very welcome by the members .Let’s hope we have some of them join us for this year .
A really good atmosphere in the room , and I am looking forward to a really good season.
We kick off this Tuesday
At 7pm Beks is demonstrating
Getting your images from your camera
Filing your images
Working on your images
Presentation of your work- key line, rgb settings and sizing for competitions
Basic editing for nature
At 8pm we have Question and Answer Night –
This will take the format of discussion and information about entering competitions with Nick Veale and sizing and mounting prints with Paul Smith .After the break we split into smaller groups .These groups will be camera make divisions .
The idea is to have informal camera clinics where people feel comfortable to ask about features amongst users of the same make . I am hoping this will work , it was a request from last week , that I felt fitted in to this evening . BRING YOUR CAMERA
It is also a great way to learn some members’ names and meet new members .
Room set up will be chairs in rows as usual ,table for the projector at the front . Tea table at rear .Thanks to my usual helpers …
During tea break can we move chairs in to various circles -eg Nikon circle , Canon circle etc to make friendly discussion and help groups .
It’s good to try something different ,feedback always welcome .
Another request from last week was to reinstate the rogues gallery, which is pictures of members on the wall during our meeting so you know who is who ! This will be a work in progress .
