12.06.2022 Converging Lines

The first meeting of our summer season got off to a flying start at Harvington Hall on Tuesday. The weather was a little dull, but we managed to dodge the rain and over a dozen members enjoyed a pleasant walk around the pond, trying to get pictures of the fish as they jumped out of the water, or of the photographers as they fell into the water… unfortunately in both cases the action was too fast and unpredictable to be able to capture. These summer season meetings are not just about the photographic opportunities – they are also social events, with time for chatting to fellow photographers that’s not always easy to find on club nights!

This coming Tuesday the summer season continues at Stourport – you should already have seen the email from Mike Norton with the details. There’s always plenty of subjects to photograph in Stourport – colourful canal boats, rowers on the river, people around the town, fairgrounds, etc etc, so it should be a good evening.

Speaking of social events in the summer programme, we are hoping to hold a barbecue this year – July 26th is looking like the most likely date, other details to be announced nearer the time.

Finally, for those of you that might have missed the Awards night (or who want to relive it), the video slideshow that Nigel put together of the winning images from the year is now available on YouTube at https://youtu.be/naDkecagisM . As usual, please don’t share this link outside the club.
