What a great turn out for our first model evening of the season with the lovely Georgia , she was very professional and offered lots of poses .I hope there are some nice images out there and please do remember to send some through to her as per Colin’s email.
The Liverpool trip was great fun and an action packed day -train ,magical mystery bus, big wheel, ferry across the Mersey ….. and the weather was amazing .
This week is practical night so cameras again please . (tripod if available ,some objects,flowers etc , macro lens ,coloured backgrounds }
Ian has some activities for us and there will be some still life stations too , so I hope lots to keep us all amused .
This is some info from Ian –
For Tuesday’s practical evening I will hopefully show the gathered how to set up to enable them to produce images as shown below ( both images have had very minimal editing).
The first image is water droplets on a criss cross arrangement. I will bring along some ready made arrangements plus raw materials so they can make their own and photograph. I will have a couple of backgrounds however encourage members to bring along their own as well. Macro lens would be best however not essential and the same applies to tripod.
The second image is a subject photographed through an aperture in tissue paper. I will bring along some flowers however I would encourage members to bring along additional items. I will also bring along different coloured tissue paper for members to utilise as necessary. Again, tripod not necessary however members will need one hand for camera and one for holding tissue paper.
So a big thank you to Ian for thinking of these creative opportunities.

Also thank you to those members who have offered to help at the Showcase ,it is really appreciated .I have attached the rota and a plan for where to access and park etc . There is a cafe there so hot drinks etc are available all day . Set up for Tuesday will be tables for tea , welcome desk . two at front for Ian’s demo and 3 nearer to window for the still life sets .Plus some chairs out informally set for resting and chatting .
