On Wednesday 8 members met up at the newly reopened Blists Hill museum, which is now under National Trust management. The photos I have seen from the trip look good, and I’m sure the company was great too, but I gather that the museum itself was a little disappointing, with many sections not yet open. I know that the NT considers the reopening to still be very much a work in progress, so hopefully things will improve over the next year or so. Thanks to Ele for arranging this trip.
Then on Thursday, members visited Diglis Island in Worcester, managed by the Canals and Rivers Trust. Looks like a fascinating place, and I was sad to miss the trip. Fortunately, Helen is planning to arrange a second visit to the site for those that were unable to go on Thursday (or anyone that went on Thursday and enjoyed it so much they want to go back). This will be on Tuesday, July 21 at 15:30 – Helen will be sending out more information nearer the time.
Remember that on August 2nd we have the creative photography workshop at Avoncroft Arts Centre – see last week’s post for details. We are also not too far away from the Chinese Meal at Evesham that Dave Ward is organising on August 4th…
