Well wasn’t Tuesday a great evening ,kicking off with Beks explaining editing techniques ,to a full stage of members .
And then the Annual Open Competition ,with prints and PDI’s ,a great judge who made lots of encouraging comments and had a very tough job to sort out winners .
What an amazing display of photography our members put on .
I do hope this inspired the Novices to enter their section ,and I look forward to seeing their images in a few weeks time -photoentry is open for you !
Jenny has now completed two excellent workshops helping members with images ,textures and how to put the two together on their computers .These have been really well received ,and I think there is a possibility of more when Jenny recovers from these two .It is a lot of hard work ,and Jenny very kindly offers her time and facilities to further members’ knowledge . We are lucky to have generous members like this ,and all those that do the 7pm class . Learning from each other is a very valuable resource and we are lucky as a club to do this . A big thank you to all the members thatare involved in this .
This week has Colin at 7pm talking about panels ,which is an art to put together in itself ,and will make you look at different aspect of your work .
At 8pm it the Volunteer’s Evening
Jan has organised some willing and not so willing members to stand up the front and talk to the group .This always proves to be a really successful and different evening. Heckling rules – don’t heckle me , the others will just have to stick up for themselves lol
But seriously please join in with the spirit of the evening .
There is also a RAFFLE so bring some pennies along to support the club .
