Hi all

Life’s little dramas often hinge on the toss of a coin. This morning we debated whether to go to the 1940’s reenactment at Severn Valley Railway, or head in into Birmingham for some people shots (and the guilty pleasure of going to the Black Sabbath history event at the Gas Hall). Well, Brum won and all went well until we got a flat tyre leaving the car park. No spare – just the manufacturer’s repair spray kit – useless. 90 minutes later back to Bournheath on the back of a rescue truck. Next time we will go to SVR

A good night was had by all in Kidderminster on Tuesday. Pleasant enough by the canal and we even had the pleasure of an American couple coming through the lock in a narrowboat. Then someone suggested going to Springfield Park – another toss of the coin decision. Whilst we had been at the canal the main dual carriageway through Kidderminster had been closed for re-surfacing. Major dramas ensued trying to get to the park as we were on the wrong side of the river.
Heigh-ho – life hinges on minor decisions.

Well, this week should be the highlight of the summer season. Our summer BBQ at Jenny Webster’s property. Jenny has very generously offered to host the event and supply most of the food. In addition, we have the use of her hides and garden on the night for photography. Plus, if that’s not enough Sean Bullock has offered to bake a couple of his cakes for the night. This should be a great night and deserves the support of our membership, so let’s hope for a good turnout on the night. The hides are available from 6 PM, the food is likely to be ready from about 7 onwards.

Well, that’s it for tonight. I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday.

Best wishes

David
