Hi all

Judging by the feedback that has been received this week, the presentation from Phil Savoie this week ranks as the best that many of our members have seen. Phil presented some stunning images and lots of helpful advice and tips – all done in such a relaxed and friendly manner. Over the last two weeks Phil and Tony Worobiec have reminded us what photography is all about – take photos for yourself, there is always an image to be found and – above all – enjoy your photography.

This week we have another early session with the next part of the Roger Lewis Foundation Course. This starts at 7-00 pm and is followed at 8-00 pm with our 3rd Print Competition (Colour and Nature) judged by Bob Goode. It has been a challenging year for our print workers, however, the standard has remained high and Tuesday should be no exception. Midnight on Thursday 1st April is the deadline for entry to the Novice Annual Competition – all sections – PDIs and Prints.

Jenny Webster has just released her Nature Blog for April jenny-websters-nature-tips There are some excellent ideas for nature images in the coming weeks. Now that lockdown is starting to ease, we have the opportunity to get out and about more to start building up our images again. We are also hopeful that we may be able to meet outdoors in small groups again in the not too distant future. So it’s time to blow the cobwebs away and charge up your batteries for the better days ahead

See you all on Tuesday

Best wishes

David
