I hope you have all managed to enter your images for the team , and the team leader has submitted the final list to David ,ready for the Boys vs Girls comp on Tuesday week .
This Tuesday we have Tony G for the early class – with a new set of images for us Two Days Photographing the Highlights of a Local Town Tony Gervis FRPS
The 8pm presentation is with Keith Watson-
“My World of Audio Visual Photography”. Over the course of the evening it will explain why and how I started in AV and progress through what AV might do for your photography with a few guidelines on how to produce a sequence and show it to an audience.
A little bit about myself…
I started taking photos in the 1970s and meddled around with projected slides and music on cassette tape. It wasn’t until the advent of digital photography until I became more serious about producing AVs.
I achieved my LRPS in multimedia, which is where the RPS sees AV belonging to. I also achieved a PAGB-AV.
I am currently an active member of the Aperture Photography Group in Northamptonshire although they have no separate group for AV workers. I am vice-chair of East Midlands Audio Visual Group based in Leicester.
I am also kept busy as Secretary of the RPS AV Group and assist in the organising of the National Audio Visual Championships. “
I saw some AV presentations at Smethwick , some were delightful ,so should be an interesting evening.
