Congratulations to everyone who had success in last week’s ist Print Competition. As usual, the competition was fierce with a high standard of entry. It was also great to see a large number of novices taking part with some new names on the successful images. The overall entry was lower than some in the past, but it gave our judge – Terry Livesey – plenty of time to critique our entries. Terry judging was one of the best that we have had, with plenty of positive critique for both novices and more advanced photographers.
This week we have our second practical evening of the season. This is a great opportunity to exchange ideas and advice. Make sure you bring your camera – Richard will be demonstrating different macro techniques and equipment, and possibly a chance for hands-on experience. Jan will be setting up a still life demonstration to show how to achieve differential focusing and hopefully Bokeh as well. We also plan to give you the opportunity to capture water drip slashes and much more besides. Come and have a play. If you need any advice on the night, don’t be afraid to ask.
There will also be a sales table this Tuesday. If you have any photographic items that would benefit from a new home, then bring them along. All we ask is that you donate 10% of any sales to club funds.
See you all on Tuesday
